VNG signed MOU with Temasek Holdings.
- This is the only MOU in the high-tech sector awarded at the Conference this morning. Previously, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized the importance of high-tech field in Vietnam's economic development, especially in the context of Industrial revolution. 4.0. The Prime Minister also affirmed: It is necessary to prioritize the policy of high-value FDI attraction, environmental sustainability, and access to the most advance technology, taking advantage of the opportunity of the 4.0 Revolution to attract high valuable-added investment projects
According to the MoU, Temasek Holdings and VNG will jointly seek strategic investment opportunities and expand business cooperation in the future. Potential areas of cooperation include technology services such as cloud services.
According to a separate source from Investment Newspaper, ST telemedia, a large Singspore telecom, technology and communication fund, (a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings), will discuss with VNG about the cooperation opportunity in the future. Many possibilities that ST Telemedia will help improve capacity, Data Center technology and cloud services for VNG.
